Rhetorical/Textual Analysis

Hello!
This assignment is for my writing class in university. I will attach the prompt and all the necessary items you guys should need. Basically, this 8 page essay is a rhetorical and textual analysis paper that should tie back to our semester’s theme which is heroes and villains. The text that you will be using for this essay is an ad for Hidden Valley Ranch (ranch sauce) that i pulled from a magazine. Its a picture of a girl getting a cone of broccoli from a man thats dumping ranch on top of it. What i want this essay to be about is how as modern day technology becomes more advanced we are using it to enhance our foods and duplicate some of natures finest. However, it isn’t turning out so great with the outbreak of cancer and other diseases from the GMO’s and all the other factory produced crap that we eat or is in our food. People need to eat and those foods are usually more affordable so thats why people still buy them. Also you guys can talk about obesity and how it is rising as a result of the shit food thats out there and we are deciding to eat. Another point you could use is how in recent times we are talking food for grated and using it as a source of pleasure instead of nourishment and development which is eating and drinking’s original purpose. This essay must cite and document at least 3 scholarly sources. http://biblio.csusm.edu this site may come in handy to get those sources. At the end the villains are fake processed food that we are choosing to eat and the industries that are only thinking about the money they can make by using modern day technology to produce them. With the help of modern day technology, the food industry and the concept of food in general has changed from being a natural source of nourishment, to becoming a hobby and a source of pleasure. Ultimately leading to obesity and other complications.
I put all the ideas in my head here haha! thanks a bunch.
