Assessment Task 3: Design & Evaluate an Outdoor Play Setting

Aim Design an outdoor environment for children where they
can explore, investigate, be enchanted, be challenged
and engage with nature. You are to specify the age group
you wish to focus on from 0-5 years depending on your
area of interest.
Method Your design may be a diagram (see text page.37) or a
series of visuals you have collected to illustrate your
design with annotations.
The construction of your webfolio will include the
following headings as pages:

Provide a brief introduction to your design, explaining
the context, age range and the philosophy behind the
design

Your design must incorporate the following principles:
Regulatory inclusions (Regulations & standards) from the
National Quality Framework
Australian standards for children’s play equipment
